If you know us, you probably have some idea about what the SCA is. If not, go to our links page and check out the
website for more info. Basically, it's like the Civil War reenactors, only way earlier and encompassing many more cultures
- any of pre-sixteenth century Europe. Most of the time we dress as Vikings. My SCA name is Asta Jorundardottir,
Joe's is Finn Olafsson, and Lorelei's is Aud Finnsdottir.
Gulf Wars 2004 (March 17 - 20)
This was Lorelei's first camping event. She did very well, and she traveled in style, as evidenced in the first
of these photos:
This is traveling (and sleeping) in style! |

Meet Finn Olafsson and Aud Finnsdottir! |

What a cute little Viking baby! |

At Tavern Brawl 2003: Aud is wearing the tunic that Una made her. She is probably still
wearing the naalbinded booties also, but you can't see them here. Her cap was too small. Finn says that in this
picture she looks like the Brain from Pinky and the Brain. After looking again, I have to agree.

A side view. She loves a sling. I threw this together because my other one looked too mundane.

With Muirren (the Lady formerly known as Morna).

At Tribe Zareefat's Collegium (technically not an official SCA event, but oh, well): We took Erin
(my page) with us to Atlanta for this collegium because she loves Middle Eastern dancing. We also had fun elsewhere
in Atlanta (check out the World of Coke page). Isn't she a cute little Mongol? I don't know that a Mongol would
have the naalbinded booties, but Una made them for her and they keep her feet warm.

Here Finn and Erin hold her for a pose:

Aud and I watch Erin take the Middle Eastern dance classes.

At Menhir 2004: We had a lot of fun here. It was my first Menhir without teaching, so I
socialized and sat in on a couple of classes. Aud got passed around quite a bit but she enjoyed it and so did everyone
else. She was very good. Here she is hobnobbing with royalty:

Here is a series of pictures where she's amusing herself, pausing to pose for Mommy and the camera. Notice how
her drool is soaking more and more of her shirt in each photo:
